Background

bmd has worked with Smallacombe for almost 30 years, maintaining the brand as a leader within one of the most competitive real estate markets in the country. After 10 years since the last brand review it was time to refresh.
 


Action

bmd’s strategy built on known strengths of the brand—its blue base and iconic white picket fence. Strong brand guidelines and on-going support for in-house design staff ensured a consistent roll-out of the brand identity.


Result

The branding exercise has reinvigorated staff and has been enthusiastically welcomed by customers. According to David Smallacombe, the rebrand was also the catalyst that saw them make the final of the 2011 REI Award for Excellence for Large Company of the year.
